Brind’Amour headed to Michigan State to play college hockey immediately before joining the Blues during the team’s playoffs in 1989. His first NHL shot ended up being a playoff goal. The following year, Blind Armour was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers, where he became a fan favorite and backup captain. About a decade later, he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, where he won the only Stanley Cup of his career in seven games against the Edmonton Oilers in the 2005-06 season.
