Dyrdek was born on June 28, 1974 in Kettering, Ohio. He got his first skateboard when he was 11 from pro skateboarder Neil Blender. This sparked his desire to become a professional skateboarder, and that’s what he’s focused on. At school, he thought about all the tricks he was going to try later, and after school he would skate and practice until his parents called him for the night. By the time he was 12, he was sponsored and started his professional skateboarding career. At 16, he left his hometown and moved to Southern California to become a professional skateboarder.

Rob proposed to his girlfriend Playboy Playmate Brianna Noel Flores at Disneyland in April 2015. He came out of the elephant prop and interrupted the production of “Aladdin” to get involved. He pulled Flores onto the stage and got down on one knee begging her to marry him. Rob and Briana have two children, a son named Kodah Dash (born 2016) and a daughter named Nala Ryan (born 2017)
Dyrdek has a younger sister. In December 2011, Dedek became an ordained pastor through Universal Life Church in order to officiate his sister’s wedding. The ceremony is featured in the episode “Rob Decker’s Fantasy Factory”, which takes place at the Fantasy Factory in Los Angeles.

- In May 2008, Dyrdek paid $2.549 million for a home near Mount Olympus above Laurel Canyon, which sold for $2.125 million in November 2012 at a loss of $334,000.
- In March 2013, after nearly five years in and out of the market at increasingly lower prices, he bought the mid-1960s multi-story modern condo in the Hollywood Knolls neighborhood near Lake Hollywood for $1.395 million in 2005. Lost $220,000. Sold for $1.175 million.
- In 2016, Dyrdek sold his four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 3,733-square-foot house between Laurel Canyon and Coldwater Canyon in the Laurel Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles for $3.5 million.
Mulholland Estate
In 2015, Dyrdek purchased a 3.1-acre vacant lot in an exclusive gated community called “Mullholland Estates” for $9.9 million. The lot is the largest property in the entire community. It was once owned by singer Robbie Williams, who apparently planned to custom build his own mansion, but then changed his mind. Rob has reportedly submitted plans to the city for a mansion on the site.
