Ricky Williams is a retired American football running back. He spent 11 seasons in the NFL, playing for teams such as the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints. He briefly played for Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Williams played college football at the University of Texas and won the 1998 Heisman Trophy. Errick Lynne Williams Jr. was born on May 21, 1977 in San Diego, California. He has a twin sister named Cassandra. His parents Sandy and Eric separated in 1983. Williams attended Patrick Henry High School under the care of his mother, where he was good at football, baseball and wrestling. He won a sports scholarship to enter the University of Texas. Williams played four seasons of college football with the Texas Longhorns (1995-98). He won the National Honor Award twice (1997-98), twice won the Doak Walker Award (1997, 1998) and the famous Heisman Trophy (1998). As a member of the Dolphins, he led the NFL in rushing yards (2002) and was selected as a first-team all-professional player (2002). He was named the MVP of the 2002 Pro Bowl.

Outside of football, Williams is a certified yoga coach. After joining Toronto Argonauts (CFL), he offered free yoga classes at a yoga studio in Toronto. Williams studied massage therapy at the Academy of Acupuncture and Massage in Miami, Florida. He is a graduate student at the Emperor’s Traditional Oriental Medicine School in Santa Monica, California.
Williams currently serves as a football analyst for Longhorn Network. His film debut was the comedy film “Stuck on You (2003)” starring Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear.
