He wrote Wildlife in 1990 and Independence Day in 1995. Ford won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the PEN/Faulkner Prize on Independence Day. Ford wrote “The Way of the Earth” in 2006, 2012, Canada and 2014 and “Let Me Be Candid with You” in 2014. He has also published the story collections Rock Springs, Men and Women: Three Stories, Many Sins, and Retro Ford. In 2013, he was awarded Andrew Carnegie Media for Excellence in Fiction for Canada and Prix Femina Etranger for Canada.
