Ricardo Lockette was born on May 21, 1986 in Albany, Georgia. He played college football at Ford Valley State and was signed by the Seattle Seahawks after the NFL lockout ended after he was undrafted in the 2011 NFL draft.
Lockette was a practice team player for most of his rookie season, but was promoted to the active 53-man roster in December 2011. He recorded two receptions for 105 yards this season, including a 61-yard touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. The following year, Lockett was cut from the final roster after the 2012 preseason. He was later re-signed to the training squad but was released shortly after. Lockette signed with the 49ers in September 2012. He didn’t appear in any games during the 2012-13 season and was released the following preseason. Before the start of the 2013-14 season, Lockett was signed into the practice class by the Chicago Bears. He was waived by the Bears on Oct. 21 and returned to the Seahawks the following day.
