Rashad Jennings is an American professional football player who last played for the New York Giants. He’s 6-foot-1 and plays the running back position. Jennings was born on March 26, 1985, in Woods, Virginia, to parents Albert and Deborah. He has two brothers, Butch and Brian. Jennings attended Jefferson Forest High School in Bedford County, Virginia. He continued his studies at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by Liberty University.

Jennings started his football career at Jefferson Forest High School as a junior. He later transferred to Lynchburg Christian College, where he became a 2x All-Virginia Division II selection. He recorded 1,978 yards and 33 touchdowns in his senior year. Jennings attended the University of Pittsburgh in January 2005. He transferred to Liberty University in 2006. While at Liberty University, he set Big Southern league records with 3,633 yards and 42 touchdowns.
Jennings was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 250th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Jaguars from 2009 to 2012. He spent the 2013 football season with the Oakland Raiders as Darren McFadden’s backup running back. Jennings signed with the New York Giants in March 2014. He had a breakthrough 2015 season with 863 receiving yards, 195 passing yards and three touchdowns. He was eliminated from the Giants in February 2017.
Jennings is a contestant on season 24 of Dancing With the Stars. His professional partner is British dancer/choreographer Emma Slater.
