Ramirez played for Guadalajara from 1994 to 1998, scoring 21 goals in 151 appearances. Before joining the UANL, he played for Club America in 1999. From 2002 to 2004, he returned to Guadalajara, scoring another 6 goals in 82 games. Ramon played 31 games for Chivas USA from 2005 to 2007, scoring 2 goals. He is also the captain of Chivas.
