Rami Said Malek was born on May 12, 1981 in Los Angeles, California to Egyptian parents. He has an identical twin brother named Sammy. Malik attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Actresses Rachel Bilson and Kirsten Dunst attended the same school. Malik continued his education at the University of Evansville, Indiana. He graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
