Phil Keegi Net Worth: Phil Keaggy is an American acoustic and electric guitarist and singer who has a net worth of $3 million. Phil Keaggy was born on March 23, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio. He has released more than 50 albums in contemporary Christian music and the mainstream market. He has won the GMA Dove Instrumental Album of the Year award seven times and was nominated twice for the Grammy Award for Best Rock and Gospel Album.

He is regularly voted among the top three “fingerstyle” guitarists in the world by the readers of Guitar Player magazine, as well as one of the “fingerstyle” guitarists. As a young man, Keaggy spent hours listening to artists like Johnny Ray and Elvis Presley, and began imitating Elvis at the age of four. Keaggy is also attracted to other types of music and is well versed in classical music. His first guitar was a Gretsch Anniversary model in the late ’50s, and his father bought him a Sears Silverstone when he was ten. Three years later, Keaggy started playing professionally with the Squires. Keaggy and longtime friend and drummer John Sferra founded Glass Harp in the late ’60s, when Keaggy was in eleventh grade, and they quickly became known as one of the most innovative trios around. The band did have a contract with Decca, toured the country several times, and had a growing fan base. Keaggy’s lightning-fast guitar riffs and experimental sound captivate their audience. In its heyday, Glass Harp was opening big shows like Iron Butterfly, Yes, Traffic, and Chicago. Keaggy was on drugs during the 60’s and his life changed dramatically on February 14, 1970: Lying in a hotel room, suffering a bad LSD trip, his parents involved in a positive car accident. Ohio and his mother died soon after. This sparked some introspection on Keaggy, who eventually became a born-again Christian. In the early ’70s, Keaggy even testified to a confused Glass Harp audience after a concert.

He left Glass Harp in 1972 and recorded his first solo album What a Day the following year. He then spent many years working with a Christian fellowship. Since then, Keaggy has released more than 30 albums and is widely acclaimed for his superb guitar skills and songwriting. He occasionally participates in reunion concerts with the rest of Glass Harp and continues to post solo projects.
