He has been racing since 1964, competing in British short circuit races, including the 1964 Isle of Man Grand Prix and the 1965 Dunstall Norton Dominator 500cc. After his racing career ended, Peter Williams began speaking at universities about technological advances and ways to drive safer and more efficiently. In 2013 he founded Peter Williams Motorcycles to rebuild several of his Norton Monocoque bikes, the one he used to win the Isle of Man F750 TT in 1973. He previously ran a Kawasaki motorcycle dealership in Southampton in the 1970s and also holds several patents.
