Steele also created the metal band Fallout and the thrash band Carnivore. In Type O Negative, he is known for his vampire effects, bass baritone, and dark self-deprecating sense of humor. His lyrics are personal and touch on topics of love, loss and addiction. Peter started learning guitar at the age of 12, but soon started learning bass. He formed the Fallout band in 1982 and the flogging metal band Carnivore in 1982. The band released their first album of the same name in 1985, and released the follow-up Retaliation in 1987 before breaking up. In 1986, he wrote the lyrics for the hardcore punk band Agnostic Front’s album Cause for Alarm. He formed the Type O Negative band in 1989. Their first studio album “Slow, Deep and Hard” was released on Roadrunner Records in 1991. They released a total of seven albums, and the last four albums entered the top ten in various countries. In 1995, Steele achieved some cross-border success as a sex symbol, appearing as a nude centerfold model in Playboy magazine. He later described the appearance of “Playboy” as a “publicity stunt” and expressed his chagrin at the magazine’s seemingly so many male readers, judging by the people who have sought his signature over the years. The rest of the band decided not to continue Steele’s death. He is 6 feet 8 inches tall and is affected by stage cargo. He was imprisoned and in a mental hospital due to paranoia caused by severe drug abuse. Peter Steele died on April 14, 2010.
