P. Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy, is an American rapper, singer, record producer, entrepreneur and designer. At the time of writing, Diddy’s net worth is US$900 million. In addition to his own personal music and entrepreneurial pursuits, he is best known for his record company Bad Boy Entertainment.

Early life and career start
Sean John Combs was born on November 4, 1969 in Harlem, New York City. He grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. When Combs was two years old, his father was shot and killed while sitting in a car in the West Side of Central Park. . Combs graduated from the Roman Catholic College of Saint Michael in 1987. He then studied at Howard University, majoring in business, but left after his sophomore year.
He got an internship opportunity at Uptown Records in New York, where he later became a talent director. While in Uptown, he helped train artists such as Jodeci and Mary J. Blige. After being fired by Uptown in 1993, Combs and Arista Records formed a joint venture with their own label, Bad Boy Entertainment.

When Combs left Uptown, he took his rookie artist The Notorious BIG, AKA Biggie Smalls. Both The Notorious BIG and Craig Mack released hit singles with Bad Boy, and Combs soon signed with other bands such as Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, 112, Total and Father MC. He also formed an in-house production team called The Hitmen to collaborate with artists such as Jodeci, Usher, Lil’Kim, TLC, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and Aretha Franklin. In the mid-1990s, on the West Coast, a well-publicized competition was brewing between Bad Boy and Death Row Records. Other projects and venture capital
In addition to his music career, Combs also enjoys a successful acting career. He has starred in films including “Making” (2001), “Raisins in the Sun” (2008), “Let Him Go to Greece” (2010), “Draft Day” (2014) and “Rebel” (2017).
