Omid Kordestani Net Worth: Omid Kordestani is an Iranian-American businessman who works as a senior advisor to Google’s CEO and founder’s office and has a net worth of $1.9 billion. Omid Kordestani was born in Tehran, Iran in 1963 and attended Andisheh Don Bosco School, an Italian Catholic school in Tehran that emphasizes education and language skills. He moved to San Jose, California when he was 14 years old. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University and went to Hewlett-Packard as an engineer. A few years later, he attended Stanford Graduate School of Business for a business degree, earning an MBA in 1991. Kordestani has more than a decade of high-tech consumer and business experience, including senior roles at Internet pioneer Netscape Communications. He joined Google in May 1999 and led the development and implementation of the company’s original business model. He is involved in Google’s global revenue generation efforts as well as the day-to-day operations of the company’s sales organization. In the May 8, 2006 issue of Time Magazine, Kordestani was named one of Time Magazine’s “100 People Who Shaped Our World.” Until April 16, 2009, he served as Google’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations.
