Nipsey Hussle is an American hip-hop artist from the West Coast. His 2013 mixing tape Crenshaw made it to the bulletin board and linked him to big-name artists. Ermias Asghedom was born on August 15, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. His mother is American and his father is of African descent. As a member of the notorious Crip gang, he grew up under the influence of Snoop Dog and Ice-T. Throughout high school, Nipsey Hussle was involved in the wrong crowd. At around 15, he dropped out of school on suspicion of robbing the school and was placed in a boot camp. After graduating from high school, he apparently took classes at a community college and then left to study music full-time.
