Nick Saban was born on October 31, 1951 in Fairmont, West Virginia. Nick and his sister grew up in the small town of Mononga and eventually studied at West Virginia State University. In 2007, Saban and his wife Terry bought a house in Tuscaloosa for approximately US$2.9 million. In 2013, Saban sold its 8,700 square foot property to the Crimson Tide Foundation for $3.1 million. This is ostensibly part of the deal between Saban and the university, even though he sold the property, he still lives in it.
