Nick Marquis Net Worth: Nick Markakis is an American professional baseball player who has a net worth of $40 million. Born in Glen Cove, New York in 1983, Nick Markakis is a left-handed right fielder who has played every game with the Baltimore Orioles in his MLB career (as of fall 2014).
Markakis played college baseball at Young Harris University and was a two-time Georgia Junior College Player of the Year honor. The Cincinnati Reds drafted him late in 2001 and 2002, before the Orioles selected him with the seventh overall pick in the 2003 MLB draft. Markakis eventually decided to go pro and join the Orioles’ farm system before making his major league debut on April 3, 2006, against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He has been with the team since then, winning the Golden Glove in 2011. Marquez also led the American League in outfield assists in 2008 and sacrificed a fly in 2009. He had the best fielding percentage in the MLB outfield in 2011. As of early September, Markakis’ career numbers include a .291 batting average, 1,531 hits, 139 home runs, 652 at-bats, 315 doubles and 736 runs. He is active in several charities including the Right Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. He has three children with his wife Christina.
