At the age of 17, Lyndhurst played Adam Parkinson on the TV series “Butterfly,” and then went on to “Go Straight” and “Only Fools and Horses.”

Lyndhurst soon became Rodney Trotter, a household name in the series. The show ran for seven seasons with 64 episodes. Lyndhurst went on to appear in “The Two of Us,” “The Piggy File,” and “Goodnight Sweetheart.” In the 1990s, he struck a deal with People’s Phone to appear on the radio as the company’s face on TV and as the face of the business. He later advertised for WH Smith. Lyndhurst has won a BAFTA award for her advertising work. He has appeared in “Porridge,” “After You Gone,” “Rock and Chips,” “The New Trick,” “Gulliver’s Travels,” “David Copperfield” and “A Lifetime For Them.” Lyndhurst has been married to his wife, former ballet dancer Lucy, since 1999. They have one child together, a son named Archie Bjorn Lyndhurst, born in 2000.
