Curren$y Net Worth: Curren$y is an American rapper who has a net worth of $3 million. Curren$y was born Shante Scott Franklin in 1981 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Curren$y joined the 504 Boyz in 2002. He went on to appear on several songs on Master P’s “Good Side, Bad Side” album and collaborated on several tracks with Lil Wayne.
Curren$y’s first mixtape “Welcome Back” was released two years later in 2004. He went on to release mixtapes before releasing his debut album “This Ain’t No Mixtape” with Amalgam Digital in 2009. Later that year, Curren$y promptly released his follow-up, “Jet Files.” In 2010, Curren$y recorded and released his third studio album, “Pilot Talk”, which featured Big KRIT and Snoop Dogg. He continued the trend of releasing two albums a year, dropping “Pilot Talk II” before Thanksgiving. He switched to Warner Bros. Records for his fifth studio album, The Hidden Coup. A year later, he released “The Muscle Car Chronicles” with Sean O’Connell. From 2009 to 2012, Curren$y has released six studio albums, of which “Pilot Talk III” is currently scheduled to be recorded. He founded his own record label, Jet Life Recordings, in 2011. He has worked with artists such as Trademark Da Skydiver, Smoke DZA, Fiend and Mr. Marcelo.
