Nathan Willett net worth
Nathan Willett Net Worth: Nathan Willett is an American musician and singer who has a net worth of $7 million. Nathan Willett is the lead singer and poet-in-residence of the indie rock band Cold War Kids (CWK) in Long Beach, California. The band entered the indie music scene in 2005. Willett began learning guitar in seventh grade, and while he didn’t know what type of music he wanted to play at the time, he said he classifies Cold War children’s music as soulpunk with an angular edge.
He cites some of his favorite bands as The Smiths (A Light That Never Goes Out is one of his favorite Smiths songs), and expresses his fondness for the book of the same name (based on the enduring song written by The Smiths Legends) Music Journalist Tony Fletcher), The Velvet Underground, U2, Bob Dylan and Frank Ocean. Willett is an avid reader, and despite the band’s tight schedule, he says he uses books, movies and other art to find a way to escape when the band is on tour. He grew up in a conservative family in Southern California. His father was very religious and his mother was a Christian marriage and family counselor. He finds himself far from his family, searching for answers on his own. Cold War Kids’ third album, Mine Is Yours, draws directly from Willett’s own life, and his lyrics cover familiar themes of a counselor’s broken relationship on the couch, self-doubt, and broken families. In 2017, Cold War Kids released their sixth studio album, titled LA Divine, the band’s first since the departure of former lead guitarist Dann Gallucci. Before that, the band also recorded “Locker Room Talk” with new lead guitarist David Quon, a song protesting Donald Trump’s 30-day, 50-song project for the presidency.
