Clements, who played for the Bills from 2001 to 2006, had one Pro Bowl season after recording six interceptions in 2004. He set the record for the largest defensive contract in NFL history, signing an eight-year, $80 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers until 2004. The 2007 season started. Since then, the record has been broken several times. Clements was waived by the Niners before the 2012 season; two days after becoming a free agent, he signed a two-year, $10.5 million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.
