Nancy McKeon is an American actress and television producer. She played “Jo Polniaczek” in the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life (1980-88). Her works include not eager to fall in love, style and substance, blockade, Sonny with a chance, and the wrong woman (1995). She also acted as a voice role for shows such as The Scooby & Scrappy-Doo/Puppy Hour and The Puppy’s Again Adventures. Nancy Justine McKeon was born on April 4, 1966 in Westbury, New York. Her parents are Donald and Barbara McKean. She has an older brother, Philip McKean, who is also an actor. Nancy and her family moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1970s. McKeon appeared opposite Michael J. Fox in the NBC movies High School USA (1983) and Poison Ivy (1985). She played the role of a woman with schizophrenia in the TV series “Strange Voice” (1987). She voiced the character “Dolly” for the animated series “Puppy’s Further Adventures” (1983-84). McKeon starred in her own sitcom “Can’t Love Hurry Up” on CBS from 1995 to 1996. She played the role of inspector “Jinny Exstead” in the lifetime crime drama “The Blockade” (2001-04). Her TV works also include Sonny who can’t be in a hurry in love, style and materiality, and opportunity. McKeon’s film debut is the TV series “Where the Day Takes You (1992)” starring Sean Astin and Will Smith. Other famous films include Teresa’s Tattoo (1994) with C. Thomas Howell and The Wrong Woman with Chelsea Field (1995).
