Mozzy is an American rapper and record producer from Sacramento. His outstanding projects include 1 Up Top Ahk (2017), Mandatory Check (2016) and Bladadh (2015). He has worked with record companies such as Empire Distribution and Black Market Records. Mozzy was born on June 24, 1987 in Sacramento, California, and was originally named Timothy Patterson. His mother struggled with drug addiction, and his father was mostly locked up. He was raised by his grandmother near the oak garden. Mozzy attended the local Sacramento high school, but dropped out because he did not have a diploma. He will eventually complete his GED.

Patterson started his rap career in 2004 under the nickname Lil Tim. He began to do gospel rap. His first sensational track was “U Ain’t Ready Like Dat” released in 2010. His next project, Mandatory Check (2016), was ranked 7th on the Billboard Rap Album Chart. Mozzy gave up his “Fake Famous” in January 2017. Guests of this project include YFN Lucci, Iamsu!, G-Eazy and Jadakiss, etc. The joint album Can’t Fake the Real (2017) with Blac Youngsta was released by Play Too Much Entertainment in May 2017. Another joint project, Dreadlocks & Headshots and Gunplay, followed in June 2017. Mozzy’s next solo album 1 Up Top Ahk was released in August 2017. It ranks 68th in the Billboard 200. The featured tracks of this album include “Mandated”, “Tomorrow is not a promise” and “Mom, we did it.”

Mozzy’s single “Seasons” featuring Sjava and Reason appeared on the soundtrack of Black Panther (2018). He co-produced the single “Nobody Knows” with Jay Rock and DCMBR. This song was included in the Spiritual Dialogue (EP). Mozzy has 510,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 3.2 million video views. His upcoming album Gangland Landlord is scheduled to be released in October 2018.
