Moneybagg Yo is an American rapper who has signed with Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG). He also collaborated with Bread Gang Entertainment, N-Less Entertainment and Interscope Records. His records include Federal 3X (2017), 2 Heartless (2018) and Fed Baby’s (2017) with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Moneybagg was born on September 22, 1991 in Memphis, Tennessee, whose real name is DeMario White. He is the eldest of three brothers and sisters.

Moneybagg grew up in the company of artists such as Yo Gotti, Drake and Future. He started freestyle with his friend Elo (died in 2015). One of his earliest recorded tracks is called “Bond Money”. Moneybagg released most of his music on the Bread Gang Entertainment label. His first two mixtapes “From Da Block 2 Da Booth” and “October 20th” dropped in 2012. He subsequently launched “Relentless” and “Federal” in 2015. The mixing tape “Federal Reloaded” won the 2015 Memphis Hip Hop Music Awards for Mixing Tape of the Year. It features Young Dolph, Y Grizzle and OG Boo Dirty. Moneybagg’s 2016 project ELO (Everybody Lives On) invited Yo Gotti in the track “A Lot of’Em”. Other early versions include All Gas No Brakes (2016), 4 The Hard Way (2016) and 2 Federal (2016) and Yo Gotti. The latter reached number 48 on the top R&B/Hip-Hop album chart. It was supported by the singles “Pull Up” and “Doin 2 Much”.

Heartless, Moneybagg’s mixtape, was released in February 2017. It is released under the labels of CMG, Bread Gang and N-Less Entertainment. The tapes are produced by companies such as JReid, TM88 and Zaytoven. Rappers YFN Lucci and Lil Durk have guest appearances. Moneybagg signed a distribution agreement with Interscope Records in 2017. His Interscope debut album Federal 3X was released in August 2017. This is also the third part of his “Federal” mixtape series. The tape ranks 5th in the Billboard 200 and has sold thousands of copies. Fed Baby’s, a mixing tape with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, was released in November 2017. These include tracks such as “Pending The Fifth”, “Tampering With Evidence” and “Change Partners”. The video features guest appearances by Young Thug and Quavo. Moneybagg appeared in Lil Baby’s 2017 single “All Of A Sudden”, released by Quality Control Music. The official video has been viewed more than 45 million times on YouTube. It is directed by Keemotion.

Moneybagg started 2018 with “2 Heartless”, which is his second album for Interscope Records. It produced the singles “Big Facts”, “Perfect B!tch” and “FWM” together with Lil Baby. 2 Heartless also guest stars BlocBoy JB, Yo Gotti and Quavo. The tape was supported by 2 Heartless Tour (April 7 to May 11, 2018). Moneybagg has more than 90,000 fans on SoundCloud and more than 280,000 subscribers on YouTube. He has more than 16,000 followers on Instagram.

Moneybagg Yo is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and he is African American. His net worth is estimated at 4 million U.S. dollars. After signing Yo Gotti’s CMG stamp, he received $200,000. Moneybagg was arrested in March 2016 on charges of weapons and drugs. According to reports, he was also involved in the 2017 shooting at the New Jersey Turnpike rest stop.
