Milo Yiannopoulos is a British journalist, broadcaster, author and entrepreneur. He is the founder of The Kernel and senior editor of Breitbart News. Yiannopoulos was born on October 18, 1984 in Athens, Greece. He was raised by his mother in Kent, England. Yiannopoulos attended Simon Langton Boys’ Grammar School and then Manchester University. He also briefly studied English literature at Wolfson College, Cambridge University. He dropped out before finishing his degree.

Yiannopoulos started his career as a journalist in 2007. During his tenure at The Daily Telegraph, he was drawn to technology news. He is responsible for “The Telegraph Tech Start-Up 100” which ranks European tech start-ups. The company has since been dissolved. Yiannopoulos has appeared on various programmes including Sky News, BBC Breakfast, Newsnight and The Big Issue. He debated topics such as gay marriage and intellectual property.
Yiannopoulos gained further attention as the founder of The Kernel. The company is an online tabloid magazine about technology. The kernel was sold to Daily Dot Media in 2014. He came under fire for containing unsigned lyrics by Tory Amos, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey.
