Born in Portland, Oregon in 1977, Mike Wahle played college football at Naval University after playing three sports in high school. The Green Bay Packers selected Wahle in the second round of the 1998 supplemental draft.
The offensive lineman played for Rambo from 1998 to 2004, when he and the Packers couldn’t get together and agree on a new contract. Later, he played for the Carolina Panthers from 2005 to 2007, with which he signed a free agent agreement. After being released at the end of the 2007 season, he signed a five-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks in 2008, but a shoulder injury ended the season in December and entered the injury reserve team. Waller earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2005. He played in 152 professional games, including 138 starts. He recovered four turnovers before retiring. He left professional football after a failed medical with the Seahawks in the summer of 2009. He started playing rugby while studying at London Business School, UK, and received his MBA in 2013.
