Indurain made his debut with Reynolds in 1984 after competing in the Los Angeles Olympics earlier this year. During his career, he won the Tour de France five times in a row, in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. Indurain is the fourth man in history to win five in a row. He’s also a two-time Giro d’Italia winner, making him the seventh person to do so. Known for his impressive physiology, Indurain is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds. His body absorbs oxygen almost twice as fast as the average person. On New Year’s Day 1997, Induran announced his retirement in Pamplona.
