Miguel Ferrer is an American television and film actor. His performance credits include NCIS: Los Angeles, Crossing Jordan and RoboCop. Ferrer was born on February 7, 1955 in Santa Monica, California. His mother, Rosemary Clooney, was a pop singer, and his father, Jose Ferrer, was an actor and director. He has four siblings, Maria, Gabriel, Moncita and Raphael. He is also the cousin of actor George Clooney.

Ferrer started his career as a musician. He played drums and toured with his mother and singer Bing Crosby. He also worked on Keith Moon’s solo album Two Sides of the Moon (1975). Ferrer’s first TV role was as a drummer on the Sunshine series. He went on to star in Shannon’s Deal, Miami Vice, Broken Badge and Twin Peaks. Ferrer’s early film credits include “The Absent” (1983) and “Star Trek III: Finding Spock” (1984). He co-starred in “Bob Morton” with Peter Weller in RoboCop (1987). His most recent films include The Courier (2012) with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Iron Man 3 (2013) with Robert Downey Jr.
Ferrer plays “The Doctor.” Garret Macy” on the NBC crime drama series “Crossing Jordan.” The show ran for six seasons from September 2001 to May 2007. He was also on the CBS series “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2012- 2017) as “Owen Granger”. Ferrer voiced “The Big Boss” in “Mulan” (1998) and “Rio 2” (2014). His credits as a voice actor also include Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Robo Chicken, Adventure Time, Young Justice and the video game Halo 2.
