Michelan Sisti Net Worth: Michelan Sisti is a Puerto Rican actor, director, puppeteer and musician who has a net worth of $2 million. Michelan Sisti was born on May 27, 1949 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is probably best known for his role as Michelangelo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of Ooze.
Before becoming “The Turtles,” he had an 18-year theatrical career that included five Broadway shows. Since his first stint at TMNT, Sisti has moved from New York City to Los Angeles and has continued to work with The Jim Henson Company, Walt Disney Studios and many other film and television productions. He played a number of strong roles in Jim Henson’s Creature Shop production. Sisti has also worked as a show coordinator and animatronic puppeteer on other projects, and as an assistant/additional puppeteer on various Muppet commercials and shows. Sisti originally landed the role of Barkley on Sesame Street in 1993, but chose to stay in Los Angeles and recommended his friend Bruce Connery, who had previously worked for a pantomime company. Before working with Henson, Sisti was a musician and theatre actor for 20 years. Sisti has performed in many New York productions on and off Broadway. His Broadway credits include the 1981 revival Fiddler on the Roof (as the motel) and Joe Raposo’s Raggedy Ann and Andy (as The Panda, opposite Ivy Austin). In 1987, he appeared in the Broadway Revival Cabaret as Bobby and star Joel Gray’s backup. It was during this production that Gray lost his voice, and for more than 30 performances, Sisti sang on the sound system and took on the role of emcee while Gray performed on stage. Moving on to film and television, Sisti made a cameo appearance in Star Trek: The Next Generation, as the Ferenghi Troll in the 1994 episode Bloodlines, and later cameo in Babylon 5. Sisti also appeared in Hansen puppeteer Julianne Buscher’s short film “Reinventing Venus” by Dr. Moreau.
