Michael Stoute Net Worth: Michael Stoute is a Barbados British thoroughbred trainer who has a net worth of $20 million. Born on October 22, 1945, in Barbados, Michael Ronald Stoute left his hometown at the age of 19 to become assistant to horse trainer Pat Rohan. About six years later, in 1972, Stott began training horses himself.
Stott’s first win as a trainer came in April of the same year when a Sandal owned by his father won gold at Newmarket Racecourse in Suffolk, England. He has since scored some major victories around the world, including wins at the Dubai World Cup, Breeders Cup, Japan Cup and Hong Kong Vase. In 1998 he was knighted for his contribution to Barbados tourism, thus becoming Sir Michael Ronald Stott. In addition, he is the only coach of the 20th century to win the British Classic in five consecutive seasons, and he has been a title coach ten times. Stott was the man who trained Kribises, the horse was the only winner of the hurdling treble, a feat accomplished in the 1989/90 season. And Shergar, arguably Stoute’s most famous horse, was the one that won the 1981 Epsom Derby before he was stolen. His achievement went a step further, as three horses trained by Stott took home $1,787,000 of the $2,008,945 prize money in Britain’s richest horse race, the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Championships. As a result, he recaptured the title of champion trainer in 2009, winning a total of £3,372,287. Never stopping, he led the Queen’s horse to an estimated Gold Cup win in 2013. Today, Michael Stott lives and trains horses at the Masonic Lodge Stables in Newmarket, England.
