Early life and career start
Michael Blakey was born in London, England in 1958. He was hired as a resident producer at Hansa Studios in Berlin at the age of 19 and started his career as a producer. In addition to producing tracks for artists such as Boney M, Julio Iglesias and Englebert Humperdink, he has also worked as a drummer, composer and producer in the United States and the United Kingdom. He worked as a composer and conference drummer for Tidal Force at Atico Records, then was invited to work full-time at Atico, and eventually served as A&R director from 1991 to 1994.
In the next few years, he founded his own three record companies on both sides of the strait, and also provided music for multiple movies and TV shows, including “Jackass: The Movie” and “Shaft”. He is currently the manager of his company Electra Star Management.
So far, Michael’s production work has contributed more than 100 million albums to sales. He has been nominated for Grammy Awards five times.

On social media, Blackie positioned himself as the “lifestyle of the rich and famous.” His Instagram profile describes himself as an “exotic car and watch collector.” Allegedly, his collection of watches and cars is worth tens of millions of dollars. He also used his channel to browse lists of luxury houses mainly near Los Angeles. His real estate review videos have become popular enough that real estate agents often contact him to promote the houses they are trying to sell.
He incurred some controversy by suggesting that he owns a private jet. Some followers claimed that he did not actually own a jet plane, but only used the demo plane to exaggerate his image. In a particular video, he drives a Ferrari to a private airport to see the 600 private jets piloted by Embraer, which he reportedly owns. Before customization, the aircraft will cost 21 million U.S. dollars.
