Mercocet is an American rapper and singer/songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. He initially broke out with the hit single “Open Your Eyes” in early 2019, and accumulated 13,000+ streams on all platforms. Another popular track “Slatt Science” with Ksav Wavy as the protagonist premiered in the summer of 2019. It was subsequently selected as the placement of the article by Cole Bennett, owner of Lyrical Lemonade. Mercocet’s first debut project has not yet been announced. He is currently managed by @Go2Kelo, A&R director of Gas Media/PBJAMS, and Gas Media Records.

Merc was born Tyler Koehler-Davis on January 7, 1998 in Portage Park, Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Skokie/Evanston area on the outskirts of Chicago. In 2017, Merc completed his first EP, titled “Fallen”. The project was completed in his short time at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Merc is a fan of the late rapper Juice WRLD. As an artist, he has collaborated with KCAMP, A$AP Ferg, Ishdarr and DJ Chicago.
