Max Holloway is an American mixed martial artist in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He competes in featherweight at 145 pounds. Jerome Max Holloway was born on December 4, 1991 in Waianae, Hawaii. He attended Waianae High School, where he began competing in kickboxing. Under coaches Rylan Lizares and Pedro Sauer, he won the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt. Holloway is also known by the nickname “Blessing.”

Holloway started his MMA career in late 2010. He is currently training at Gracie Technics Honolulu. He had a 4-game winning streak at the age of 19. Holloway defeated “Harris Sarimento” in a split decision in March 2011. That victory earned him the X-1 lightweight title belt.
