He played quarterback at Mountain View High School, where he was named MVP and Offensive Player of the Year and led his undefeated team to a state championship.
His senior year, he was named an All-Arizona quarterback and led the team to another championship game, only to lose in triple overtime. He was redshirted for Arizona State University and then transferred to Brigham Young University after an LDS assignment. As a sophomore, he was named to the All-Western Conference first team and led his team to the Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl victory over UCLA. Hall was not selected in the 2010 NFL draft, but signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent. He became their starting quarterback in October and was named Pepsi’s Rookie of the Week. Hall was fired in August 2011. In April 2013, he signed with the Canadian Rugby League’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He became BYU’s Assistant Student Coach in 2012.
