Marla Ann Maples was born on October 27, 1963 in Dalton, Georgia. Her mother, Ann, was a housewife and her father, Stanley, was a real estate developer. Maples is an alumnus of Northwest Whitfield High School in Tunnel Hill, Georgia. She is a competitive basketball player on the school’s varsity team. Maples continued his education at the University of Georgia. She later moved to New York City to work in the entertainment industry.
