Mark McGrath is an American singer/songwriter, guitarist and TV personality. He is the lead singer of the rock band Sugar Ray. They have released several studio albums, including Flood (1997) and Sugar Ray (2001). McGrath’s personal project “Summertime’s Coming” was released in 2015. He hosted the game show. The band currently consists of McGrath, Rodney Sheppard, Kristian Attard and Dean Butterworth. Sugar Ray’s first studio album Lemonade, and Brownies was released by Atlantic in April 1995. Other projects of the band include 14:59 (1999), Sugar Ray (2001), In the Pursuit of Leisure (2003) and Music for Cougars (2009). Their outstanding singles include “Every Morning”, “Someday” and “When It’s Over”. McGrath’s personal EP Summertime’s Coming was independently released in August 2015. These include songs such as “Ease My Mind” and “What the World Needs”.
McGrath made his first appearance in the movie “Father’s Day” (1997) starring Robin Williams and Billy Christo. He appeared on the Howard Stern Show (1995-2001) and Jay Leno’s Tonight Show (2001-05) many times. He served as a panelist for the game show Hollywood Plaza (1999-2000). He has appeared in various shows on VH1 and MTV networks. McGrath co-hosted “Extra” from 2004 to 2008. He hosted the joint game show “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” from 2009 to 2010. His film works include Scooby Doo (2002) and Freddie Prinze Jr., Uptown Girls (2003) and Brittany Murphy, and Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014) with Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. McGrath participated in the NBC Celebrity Apprentice (2011) Season 4 competition. He finished 10th overall. Then other TV shows appeared in “Celebrity Swapping”, “The Office” and “Workaholic”. McGrath was selected as one of the 11 guests in the CBS spin-off series “Celebrity Big Brother” (2018). Celebrity actors include Metta World Peace, Omarosa Manigault and Ross Mathews.
