Mark Lindsey net worth
Mark Lindsay Net Worth: Mark Lindsay is an American musician who has a net worth of $2 million. Born March 9, 1942 in Eugene, Oregon, Mark Lindsay is best known as the lead singer of the seminal ’60s garage rock band Paul Revere & the Raiders. Lindsay was only 15 years old when he first started working with a local band that played there.
As such, he was invited to sing in bands such as Freddy Chapman and the Idaho Playboys. In 1958, Lindsay moved to Caldwell, Idaho, where he met the early Revere bands. Soon he was asked to replace singer Red Hughes, and soon he also started playing as a saxophonist. With the addition of Mark Lindsay, the group became one of the most popular in the region and eventually one of the most popular in the United States. Additionally, he collaborated with Keith Allison and Steve Alaimo as Unknowns, which resulted in three singles. While at the helm of Raiders, Lindsay got involved in more side projects, eventually going solo in 1969. However, he spent some time working as a soloist and singer for the Raiders. His first solo single on Columbia Records was a work by Jimmy Webb, titled “First Hymn at the Big Terrace”, but failed to make it to the charts. It was his follow-up track “Arizona” that marked the real beginning of his solo success, reaching number 10 in the US and remaining his most successful solo single to date. Lindsay followed the Raiders’ style of performance until 1975 when his solo career was on the rise. Lindsay went on to record singles for a few years (for Warner Bros., Elka, and Greedy Records), and has also recorded for artists such as Gerry Rafferty (on “Baker Street”), Kenny Rogers, and more. Lindsay’s latest album, Life Out Loud, was released in 2013 on Bongo Boy Records.
