Mariah Carey is an American pop singer, songwriter and actress. She holds the record for the most debuts on the Billboard Hot 100. Kelly was born on March 27, 1970, to parents Patricia and Alfred Roy in Huntington, New York. She has two siblings, Morgan and Alison. Kelly attended Haberfield High School and completed her diploma in 1987. After graduation, she worked as a waitress to pay rent and other expenses.

In 2001, she played “Billy Frank” in the romantic musical “The Flash.” The film was poorly received and she won the Raspberry Award for Worst Actress. Kelly starred opposite Gabourey Sidibe in Lee Daniels’ 2009 drama “Precious.” She won the Breakthrough Performance Award at the 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival. Other film appearances include Christmas Melody (2015) and the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie (2017).
