Marcus Lutrell Net Worth: Marcus Lutrell is a former United States Navy SEAL who has a net worth of $1.5 million. Marcus Luttrell was born in Houston, Texas and began training as a Navy SEAL at the age of 12. He trains with his twin brother and several other youngsters.
He went on to graduate from Sam Houston State University before enlisting in the military in the late ’90s. He joined the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) class of 226, but didn’t graduate in 228 until 2000 because he broke his leg in the O class. He then went on to complete Army Jump School, SEAL qualification training and Special Operations Medic courses. He was a member of SDV-1, deployed to Afghanistan as a member of SEAL Team 10, and deployed to Iraq as a member of SEAL Team 5. He was the only survivor of Operation Red Wings, which was ambushed in Afghanistan. Local Pashtun villagers helped him to safety. He co-authored the bestseller Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness of Operation Red Wings and the Lost Hero of SEAL 10, which recounts his experiences. The book was turned into a movie starring Mark Wahlberg. He is also the author of a second book and established the Lone Survivor Foundation.
