Malcolm Young is an Australian rhythm guitarist, songwriter and music producer. He is the co-founder of the hard rock band AC/DC. Their records include High Voltage (1975), Back in Black (1980) and The Razors Edge (1990). Malcolm Mitchell Young was born on January 6, 1953 in Glasgow, Scotland. His parents are William and Margaret. He has 7 siblings, including Angus, George, Margaret, Stephen and Alex. In 1963, he immigrated to Australia at the age of 10.

Young started playing acoustic guitar at a very young age. He has performed in local bands such as The Velvet Underground. His inspiration came from his George. Young and his brother Angus co-founded the rock band AC/DC in 1973. They started their first national tour in 1974 with singer Dave Evans. It is at the top of the rankings in Australia, Canada, France and the United Kingdom. It is ranked 4th in the Billboard 200. These include songs such as “Hells Bells”, “Shoot to Thrill” and “You Shook Me All Night Long”.
