Madison Kocian is an American rhythmic gymnast, two-time world champion and Olympic gold medalist. She was born to parents Thomas and Cindy on June 15, 1997 in Dallas, Texas. She has a younger brother named Tai. Kocian graduated from Spring Creek College in 2015. She is expected to enter UCLA in the fall of 2016.

Kocian started her gymnastics training at the age of 5. She trains at the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy under coach Laurent Landi. Kocian played as part of the U.S. Junior National Team from 2009 to 2012. She won the uneven bars gold medal at the Top Gym Junior in Belgium in 2009 and the gold medal at the 2011 Jesolo City Trophy in Italy.
Kocian made his senior team debut in 2013, finishing 7th at the American Classic in Illinois. She has since won three gold medals at the World Championships and a gold and silver medal at the Pan American Championships. Koscian made his Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. She joined Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles, Aly Raisman and Laurie Hernandez as part of the “Big Five” to win an Olympic gold medal.
