MadeinTYO is an American rapper and songwriter. He is best known for his 2016 single “Uber Everywhere”. His recordings include EP, 24Hrs In Tokyo (2016), and mixtapes, You Are Forgiven (2016) and Thank You, Mr. Tokyo (2016). MadeinTYO was born Malcolm Jamaal Davis on April 12, 1992 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has an older brother, 24hrs, who is also a rapper. MadeinTYO lives in different places because of his parents being in the military. He spent more than 5 years in Tokyo, Japan, and returned to the United States after graduating high school. The family eventually settled in Atlanta, Georgia.

MadeinTYO and his brother Royce Rizzy (now known as 24Hrs) formed the arts collective Private Club. Other members include Phin Tha Weirdo, Salma Slims, Noah Wood$ and Nephlon Don. His early projects include the instrumental EP “Yokosuka Station” and the song “I Want”. MadeinTYO’s debut single “Uber Everywhere” was released in February 2016 by Privateclub and Warner Bros. Records. The song peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 11 on the Hot Rap Songs chart. It has sold over 1 million copies and is certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The track was mixed by Travis Scott, Tory Lanez and Trey Songz. MadeinTYO appears on the “Free Throw” track with Gio Dee and Metro Boomin. He also appeared in “Have To” with Rizzy.

MadeinTYO’s debut mixtape “You Are Forgiven” was released on iTunes in August 2016. It reached number 122 on the Billboard 200 chart. The mixtape was produced by K Swisha, Richie Souf and 808 Mafia. If rapper 2 Chainz appeared on the single “I Want”. The second mixtape, Thank You, Mr. Tokyo, was released in 2016. It was led by Big Sean’s single “Skateboard P”. MadeinTYO and 24Hrs released an EP in 2016, 24Hrs In Tokyo. He appears on the song “Lamn” on Left Brain’s mixtape Mind Gone Volume 1 (2017). MadeinTYO selected for the 2017 XXL freshman class. The other 9 members include A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Kap G and Kyle.

In June 2018, MadeinTYO collaborated with ASAP Ferg on the single “Ned Flanders”. This track was produced by K Swisha. The joint mixtape “I Bet You Get This All The Time” between MadeinTYO and MyNamePhin was released in July 2018. The tape is 15 minutes long and can be streamed through SoundCloud. It has five tracks, including “Break A Fit” and “Wake Up Kids”.

MadeinTYO is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and of African American ancestry. His stage name is short for “Made In Tokyo”. His net worth is estimated at $2 million. MadeinTYO began a relationship in 2015 with Philadelphia-based illustrator “Anhia “Distortedd” Santana”. They welcomed a son True in January 2017. The couple reportedly got engaged in early 2017.
