The group reportedly has an annual global turnover of $4.5 billion and employs the largest number of Indians outside India. Born on November 15, 1955 in a small village in India, MAYusuff Ali moved to Abu Dhabi in the 1970s to join his uncle’s business, the EMKE Group of Companies. Yusuff Ali, who holds a Diploma in Business Management and Administration, opened his first Lulu hypermarket in the 1990s, when traditional grocery stores and supermarkets were replaced by large community stores and big box stores. Today, LuLu Group International has $5 billion in revenue (revenue) and has more than 100 retail stores in the Middle East, Africa and India. The Lulu Group plans to expand further into India with the opening of its first mall in India, and has also expanded its interests in areas such as healthcare, software and infrastructure, with operations in 21 countries.
