In a June 2018 interview, Lily told NME.com that she had more than $1 million in debt. She previously reported to a British newspaper that she had to sell her $5.6 million mansion in 2016 after being sued by a former tourism manager for alleged breach of contract. Early life and career
Lily Allen was born in London, England in 1985, the son of filmmaker Alison Owen and comedian Keith Allen. She has three siblings: Sarah, Alfie Allen (later known as the “Game of Thrones” star) and Rebecca. When she was only three years old, Ellen appeared in an episode of the TV series “Comic Presents…” co-written by her father. Alan’s father left the family shortly after, leading them to live on Parliament estate. The family later settled in Islington with comedian Harry Enfield, whom Ellen’s mother was dating. As a child, Allen attended 13 schools, many of which were expelled for smoking and drinking. To refocus her energy on something more productive, she began singing and playing the piano, as well as guitar, trumpet, and violin.
In 1998, Allen had a brief role in the historical biopic “Elizabeth.” That same year, she appeared in the music video for Fat Les’ “Vindaloo”. At 15, Allen dropped out of school. Her big break came shortly after, when she met her first manager, George Lamb, while traveling with her family to Ibiza. In 2002, she went on to use her father’s connection to sign with a London label. Allen then began writing songs and working with production duo Future Cut in a small office studio.

She also provided background vocals for several songs on Kaiser Chiefs’ third album in 2008. Later, in 2010, Allen appeared on Professor Green’s UK top five single “Just Be Good to Green”. Other works include Pink’s “True Love” and Giggs’ “Trigger Bang”.

Early in her pregnancy, she experienced complications, and six months later, she contracted the virus, which resulted in her stillbirth. In 2010, Allen became engaged to Cooper and married the following year. Then she gave birth to a daughter, Ethel Marie. Another daughter, Marnie Rose, was born in 2013. Allen and Cooper divorced in 2018 due to frequent infidelities. Allen has since been romantically involved with actor David Harbour and married in 2020.
