Lil Xan is an American rapper, songwriter and former photographer from Redlands, California. He is known for his collaborations with Diplo on songs such as “Slingshot”, “Betrayed” and “Color Blind”. His recordings include the album Total Xanarchy (2018) and the mixtape Heartbreak Soldiers (2018). He has worked with Lil Skies, Trippie Redd and Baby Goth among others.

Xan was born Nicholas Diego Leanos on September 6, 1996 in Redlands, California. His mother’s name is Candy. Due to financial difficulties, the family lived in a motel for several years. Diego attended Redlands East Valley High School briefly before dropping out. His first known job was a street cleaner. He later supported himself as a photographer.

The mixtape “Heartbreak Soldiers” was released in July 2018. It spawned the single “Lies” featuring Lil Skies. Xan’s fourth EP, Xanarchy Militia, followed in November 2018. It was supported by the single “Slope”. His second full-length album, Be Safe, is scheduled to be released in March 2019. These include the songs “Watch Me Fall” and “Tree Sap”. Lil Xan has over 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He has more than 50,000 followers on Instagram and thousands on Twitter and Facebook.
