Lil Kim is an American rapper, model, actress and reality TV star. She was born on July 11, 1974 in Kimberly Dennis Jones, near Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. Her parents are Ruby Mae and Linwood Jones. She has an older brother named Christopher. Kim attended Queen All Saints Catholic School in Brooklyn. Her parents divorced when she was nine, forcing her to live with her father. Kim’s bad relationship with her father led to her expulsion at the age of 16. She dropped out of high school at Brooklyn College and later found a clerical job in Bloomingdales.

Kim’s life changed for the better when she met East Coast rapper The Notorious BIG. She became a member of the group “Junior MAFIA” in 1994 and released their debut album Conspiracy in August 1995. In 2005, Kim was convicted of perjury and conspiracy and sentenced to one year in prison. She apparently lied about her friend’s involvement in the February 2001 shooting. Her fourth album, The Naked Truth, was released during her tenure. Besides rap, Kim has also seen some success as a model and actor. She has worked with Wilhelmina Models, Iceberg Fashion House, MAC Cosmetics and Jacob & Co. She has a designer watch collection called “Royalty by Lil’ Kim”, as well as clothing lines “Hollyhood” and “24/7 Goddess Collection”. King has had small roles in several films, such as “She Is That” (1999), “The Rose Gang” (2003), and “Superhero Movie” (2008). She was a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2009.
