Lil Durk is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and leader of the Only the Family (OTF) collective. He was previously signed to Def Jam Recordings. Durk joined the Alamo (Interscope Records) roster in 2018. His records include Remember My Name (2015), Lil Durk 2X (2016) and Signed to the Streets 3 (2018). He has worked with Dej Loaf, Jeremih and Tee Grizzley among others. Durk was selected to the XXL freshman class of 2014. He has guest starred in TV shows like Love & Hip Hop (2016) and Revolt Sessions (2017).
His name is Duke Banks and he was born on October 19, 1992 in Chicago, Illinois. He has a brother named D Thang and two sisters. Duke grew up in Englewood, south of Chicago. His father, Dontay Banks, was sentenced to life in prison in 1994. As for education, Durk attended Paul Robeson High School, the same high school as rapper Famous Dex. He dropped out of school before completing his diploma.

His joint tape Bloodas with Tee Grizzley arrived in December 2017.
Durk’s third album, Signed to the Streets 3, was released in November 2018 by OTF, Alamo and Interscope Records. The album reached No. 17 on the Billboard 200 and No. 8 on the Top Rap Albums Chart. The track list includes “Neighborhood Hero”, “Spin The Block” with Future, “Home Body” with Gunna and TK Kravitz, and “100 Grand” with Ty Dolla Sign and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.
In addition to his solo efforts, Durk has released 2 compilation albums. Volume 1 of the “Family Only” series was released in July 2018. The second part was published in December 2018.
