Kiefer Sutherland is an Anglo-Canadian actor, filmmaker and musician. He is best known for the TV series 24 and Designated Survivor. Sutherland was born on December 21, 1966 in Paddington, London. His parents are actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas. He has a twin sister named Rachel who is a TV producer. Sutherland attended several schools in Aurora, Ontario, including St Andrew’s College and Malvern College. He studied briefly at Regina Mundi Catholic College and took acting courses at Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School.

Sutherland made her debut in the 1983 comedy “The Return of Max Dugan.” He then played “Donald Campbell” in Daniel Petrie’s film “Bay Boys” (1984). The show premiered on ABC on September 21, 2016.
As a director, Sutherland is known for the films “Last Light” (1993), “Truth or Consequences”, “New Mexico” (1997) and “Wanted Woman” (2000). As a musician, his debut studio album, Down in a Hole, was released in 2016. The album was produced by Jude Cole and released on the independent label Ironworks.
