Kevin Sumlin Net Worth: Kevin Sumlin is an American college football coach and former player who has a net worth of $13 million. Born in Bruton, Alabama, in 1964, Kevin Sumlin played college football at Purdue University’s Boiler Works in Indiana from 1983 to 1986, where he served as linebacker.
Sumlin’s college coaching career began in 1988 as a graduate assistant in Washington State. He quickly took on wide receiver coaching roles at Wyoming and later Minnesota before he transitioned to quarterbacks coach for the Golden Gophers. He returned to his alma mater to coach wide receivers from 1998 to 2000, and then served as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Texas A&M in 2001. In 2003, Sumlin left A&M to coach special teams and tight end at Oklahoma State. In 2006, he was promoted to the joint offensive coordinator position for the Sooners and worked alongside the team’s wide receivers. He got his first head coaching job in Houston in 2008, a job he held until Texas A&M hired him to take over as head coach of their football program in 2011. In the middle of the 2014 season, Sumlin went 62-27 as head coach. He went 3-1 in the bowl game and earned the 2009 and 2011 American Conference Coach of the Year honors, as well as the 2012 SEC Coach of the Year honor.
