Kerri Walsh-Jennings is an American beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic gold medalist. She was born on August 15, 1978 in Santa Clara, California, her former name is Kerri Lee Walsh. Her father Timothy is a minor league baseball player, and her mother Margaret is a volleyball player. She has three siblings, Kelli, KC and Marte. Walsh-Jennings attended Archbishop Mitty High School, followed by Stanford University. She graduated in 2000 with a degree in American studies.

Walsh-Jennings was very competitive in high school volleyball and basketball games. From 1993 to 1995, she led the school volleyball team to three consecutive state championships. She has won many honors along the way, including the 1996 Gatorade Player of the Year award. Walsh-Jennings continued her career at Stanford University with a volleyball scholarship. She became the second player in NCAA history to win the All-American First Team honor for four consecutive seasons.
Walsh Jennings made his Olympic debut at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and finished fourth. She teamed up with Misty May-Treanor to win the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Walsh Jennings won her second and third Olympic gold medals at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics. Her World Championship record includes three gold medals and one silver medal. Walsh-Jennings and April Ross represented the US team in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
