Born in Stepney, London, England in 1948, Kenny Jones was an original member of the rock band Small Faces, which was formed in 1965. The band remained active until 1969, with hits including “Tin Soldier,” “Sha-La-La-La-La-Lee,” and “All or Nothing” before the breakup.
Although they’ve been around for a few years, the band is considered one of the most influential bands in history and won a Westminster Council Medal in 2007. Their 1968 release of “Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake” is considered one of the best English-language albums of all – Time. Jones joined The Who in 1978 after his death from a drug overdose, succeeding Keith Moon. Jones was part of the band’s “It’s Hard” and “Face Dances” albums.
